Sitting Pretty: My 7-Month Milestone and Why It’s a Big Deal!

At 7 months old, I finally sat up all by myself! Now, for a typical baby, that might not seem like a huge deal, but for me, it was a full-blown celebration. You see, I have developmental delays and hypotonia (which is a fancy way of saying my muscles are a little more relaxed than most). That means things like sitting up, rolling over, and crawling take a little extra effort and a lot of determination!
Picture this: while other babies were sitting like pros at 4 or 5 months, I was still figuring out how to balance my adorable little self without toppling over like a wobbly Jenga tower. But guess what? I DID IT! And when I finally sat up strong, it was like winning a gold medal in the Baby Olympics. My cheer squad (a.k.a. my family) went wild, and honestly, I think I deserved a trophy—maybe even a parade.
What this milestone taught me (and should teach you, too) is that progress is progress, no matter how long it takes. Every achievement, big or small, deserves to be celebrated. So, to anyone out there taking their time, keep going—your victory moment is coming, and it’ll be totally worth the wait!
